Hi Nicole,

Sadly, I am writing to cancel our bookings for Steffi with Margaret in February and May of next year. 

Steffi suffered with arthritis and over the last month she deteriorated and was in a lot of pain.  So we made the heart wrenching decision to say goodbye.  She was 14 ½ .

I have just spoken to Margaret to let her know of our sad news. 

We are so very thankful that “TopDog Minders” was recommended to us.  It has been such a comfort over the years to be able to go away and know Steffi was  in a safe and loving home.  Just like leaving her at Grandmas’!   Margaret has been wonderful, always very caring and very aware of the  needs of an old dog.  We never ever went away worrying about Steffi and whether she would be okay. TopDog is very lucky to have a minder as loving and caring as Margaret.

I have recommended TopDog to a lot of people and will continue to do so.  It is so nice to be able to leave your much loved pet in a warm and loving home with undivided attention and not in a kennel when you go away.

We thank you so much for your help in placing Steffi with Margaret and the other minders especially those times when called on at very short notice.

You were absolutely wonderful!! dealing with yourself and having chanel at barbaras has been fantastic and made my holiday the most relaxed one I have ever been on.Barbara is wonderful, a kind hearted and caring person and I will be using her as much as I can- I no longer dread the thought of leaving nel!!  I have even convinced my partner who has an 18 year old dog to use top dog minders  next time we go away ( I will send an email and have a chat with you about it)  I will refer you to everyone I know and am very grateful for your great service.

I’ve used TopDog on a number of occasions now and have always been more than happy with the service provided by Nicole and the minders I have used.
Amanda was great. She had no problems managing Bailey and his “special allergy needs” and didn’t hesitate when Bailey needed medication during his stay. Having another dog to play with during Bailey’s stay was also great and I’m sure helped him settle in better. I’d be very happy to use Amanda again. Nicole is always great to deal with and has been awesome at finding appropriate places for Bailey to stay!

Sorry is has taken me a while to write to you. The week leading up to our holiday, and this past week since getting back has been hectic to say the least. I could do with another holiday!

Anyway, I just wanted to pass on a very big thank you for your wonderful services which we will be sure to use again and again in the future should the need arise. The very lovely Lesley who minded our two Jack Russel dogs (Coltrane and Roscoe) at her home in Balcatta did a brilliant job.
I know our two boys received plenty of love and attention, and were cared for in just the same manner we would care for them ourselves. They were both extremely happy and healthy which was very indicative of Lesley’s excellent loving and caring skills. Her comments about our two boys and how wonderful it was an experience for her to have such adorable little dogs to look after nearly brought tears to my eyes.
I knew to my very core the three of them (Lesley and the boys) had shared such a wonderful companionship throughout the week we were on holiday.
Lesley was eager to mention she would graciously look after Coltrane and Roscoe time and time again, and we will most certainly contact Top Dog Minders in the future to request having Lesley again if ever we need our boys looked after in the future.

Please pass on our sincere thanks to Lesley. She well deserves all the credit I can give.

She is still refusing to talk to us or even look at us, I think if she had her way she would walk right back to Maureen and Tony.

Titan had wonderful time with Liz and her family. After reading the email from Liz saying that Titan enjoyed his first day cuddling with kids watching the movies, I was totally relaxed and knew that my little pup was well cared for....

I would certainly use your services again to find a carer for my dog when I travel interstate.
 
This was the first time I had to keep Titan with a minder and Liz has been fantastic, so I have had no problems to report.
 
Regarding improvement with this online service, there is nothing to comment at the moment, I'll let you know when I think of something that maybe added to your current services.

Lesley is fantastic.  She is a lovely person and was very thorough when discussing Maks and his needs and I felt happy leaving him with her.  Lesley could tell I was stressed and she phoned me later in the day to tell me not to worry and that Maks had settled, which made me feel much better.  When I picked him up he was relaxed, happy and in excellent condition (he has dry eye, which Lesley treated).  I cant praise her enough and will always ask for Lesley in the future. She is a true asset to TopDog and thank you Nicole for placing Maks with her.

All settling back in and have been meaning to email you and thank you for Bongo’s recent holiday.  I know he had a lovely time with Nadine and the crew.  We asked if he pined a bit the night we went and answer was no!  He looked right at home when we went to pick him up and I think he would have gladly stayed!  Nadine and her husband were so lovely with him and he got on well with the cats.  It is a teeny bit of a longer drive for us to get to Nadine but I think he would love another stay there when we go away in future.

She was brilliant with him, and he actually seems in better shape (in terms of his weak leg) than when we dropped him off. Obviously he was very happy at her home, and very lucky to have been welcomed there. We also deeply appreciated the email updates while we were away. I hope that, if she's available, she'd be willing to take him again--he was clearly flying first class there.

I was most impress with every aspect of the service offered! The communication offered by all involved was fantastic, made the process very simple, and non stressful. Helen is an angel and it was evident very quickly that my dogs felt very comfortable with her. Thank you so much.

I had intended on emailing you even before I received this email. TOP DOG MINDERS – TOP SERVICE! I was so happy to come home to my little girl not only happy to see us but happy within herself and totally comfortable with Margaret. Amber is very easily stressed and doesn’t cope well with new things, but she was so comfortable with Margaret and had obviously been looked after with love and kindness. Margaret may be a long drive for us to get to but I can assure we will be asking for Amber to stay with Margaret when we go away again. To know that she is being looked after with such care and love, means I can go away and not worry or stress knowing she is in the best of care and I don’t come home to a shaking bald little girl. OK, she is not a little girl, more an old lady but she is my little girl and she was just like my little girl when we picked her up, which brought a lot of happiness to us. I just wanted to send a few lines to say THANK YOU so much for finding us Amanda, James & Jack to mind our precious Roxy whilst we were away.

We collected her this morning from Amanda who found it very hard to say bye, bye. They really did a amazing job, they gave her SOOO much love and attention and made her so very content over the last 12 days this therfore made Mum & Dad also very content whilst away on their hols! =)

It was a little ovewhelming to see just how much she had bonded wih them as a family, so much so it brought a tear to my eye as it did Amandas as we had to take her home with us this morning ='( We will most definately be using Yours, Amanda, James & Jack's service's again, as Roxy is just totally besotted and is sat a little depressed at my feet right now as I type this email to you already missing them =(

Experience with minder was great, very friendly, helpful, willing to take eccentricities of dog on board, great facilities, spent a long time on first visit making sure Suzi was OK with their dogs. Dog was happy and healthy when returned. Admin was also very efficient and friendly.

Yes, will definitely use again, and have already been recommending to others, including local vet.

Q. How was your experience with a TopDog Minder?

A.  Excellent, Daphne was great and kept in constant touch with me via text messages to let me know what the dogs were doing and this made me feel very comfortable. I will be booking Daphne for around 9 days in July and again for two weeks from December 28th, 09.

Q. Do you have any ideas on how we can improve our service?

A.  No. The key is matching the minder to the owners/dogs needs. Daphne has no pets which is great because my dogs are not very friendly with other dogs. She is also very friendly with them and i could see that they were very comfortable staying with her.

Q. How was your experience with a TopDog Minder?

A.   Brilliant!! Julie in Mt Hawthorn WA was fantastic ...i had to book at the last minute and she still made time for me to go around before the drop off time so i could meet her and see her place... she took on board what i told her about my dog (shes a rescue dog and has separation anxiety) as well as reassured me as i had a bad experience leaving Xena at a kennel.. when i came to pick her up, she was relaxed and looked like she'd had fun! Julie had even given her a bath and sent her home with some home made dog bikkies :) which she loved...
Nothing was too much trouble.... i had made a mistake on my booking sheet, said i would be picking up at 8am instead of after work but Julie simply rang the agency who contacted me and she was happy to have Xena for the day, she even took her for a walk.
I would not hesitate to leave Xena with anyone from Top Dog but will be asking for Julie :)

A.  Great !!   I have never liked the idea of leaving my dog caged up in a kennel. With TopDog Minders, I feel at ease whenever I go away. I especially like the fact that you can meet the minders beforehand, ensure you like where they will be staying and sleeping and more importantly, that everyone gets on with each other. My dog really does have a holiday and gets so much love and care, she seems so happy when I pick her up.

Jane from Clarkson is fantastic. She seemed to love my dog almost as much as me. :) She even text me updates with what Sammy was up to, where she was sleeping and what she was eating. She was spoilt and so loved. I was sorry to tear them apart in the end! Jane really is a dog lover and a fantastic dog-minder. I couldn't have asked for more.

Just a quick courtesy call to let you know how pleased we were with the arrangements made with you for John & Angie Wallace of Waikiki to look after Stellar, our border collie, whilst we were away overseas.

As well as John and Angie being two lovely people, Stellar was very much loved and cared for during our absence. We were delighted with the way Stellar was looked after, and I suspect she was a little spoilt!

I just wanted to let you know that we were so impressed with Judith in Cannington and the way she provided such wonderful care for our two dogs.

We got back at the week end and we think she provided outstanding care for both our dogs . I think she is a real pet person and so caring and warm towards animals including letting our little dog sleep with Judith ...which our dog loves to do at home.!!!!

Judith took care of their every need including medication for one of our dogs and it all felt just right .

We would have no hesitation in placing our dogs in Judith's care again and felt they were in 100% good and loving hands.

Mollie our dog was very well looked after and was in no way traumatised by the experience as I am sure that she would have been by going into kennels. We were very happy with the minder we had. As our dog is half grown and large he can be very destructive but it was not a problem at Kathie's. My dog had obviously had a lovely visit and was quite at home when we went back to get him.

We have previously lived in both nsw & qld and used a similar service and looked via the internet for a similar service available in w.a. (we don't & will not use a boarding kennels)
I can only speak for our dog, Georgina. She absolutely loved her holiday stay with Edna. Georgina was spoilt to the max. I think Georgina is probably saving up so she can send us back on holidays and then she can go and stay with her new " Aunty Edna"!
And, yes we will recommend you, in fact i passed on the refrigerator magnet during the week-end to a friend.

We found out about Top Dogs from the website 'OzDoggy'. We were extremely happy with Annabelle, who looked after Leroy for us. Much to our surprise, he was not at all traumatised when we returned to collect him after our holiday. Annabelle treated him like one of the family, and he seemed very happy to stay with her and her pet dogs. We would love to send Leroy to Annabelle when we next go away and need Leroy to be looked after. It has given us peace of mind to know that we can safely leave Leroy when we need to be away, and know that he is going to be happy and well treated. We couldn't make any suggestions to improve your service - everything was done professionally and with no problems. We would be happy to recommend Top Dog Minders to anyone needing dog sitters.

A. Fantastic. Maggie and Glenn looked after Buddy like he was their own dog. He was able to keep his routines, they walked him and played with him. Their house and yard was totally perfect for dogs and it wasn't a problem if Buddy got in the garden or dug a hole.
A very relaxed atmosphere and A1 service. I enjoyed my holiday more knowing Buddy was also enjoying his "holiday".

Our minder was very friendly and noted down everything that we said and wanted done for the dogs.
She also seemed to keep them entertained and win over their trust, especially one of our dogs who is a little shy and wary. Communication was good, when
ever I text for an update the response was fairly quick and good.
My experience was a good one as the dogs seemed to enjoy it better then a kennel which is the main thing for me, the dogs are happy.

Q. What was your main concern or requirements when selecting a dog minding service ?
My dog’s welfare. She is a laid-back dog, but I needed to know she’d be in a safe environment and happy while I was away, otherwise I would’ve been fretting about her.

Yes, I would use this service again. It’s a lot better than placing your dog into the kennels. Just the fact that Brie was around people and other pets, she would’ve been right in her element!
Q. Do you have any other suggestions you would like to add ?
Heather was really good and I felt comfortable leaving Brie with her. Heather gave Brie a bath before she came home and when my husband went to pick her up, she was racing around quite happily which is the best sign ever. Could you please pass on my thanks.

We have been really delighted with Georgia's care of Hooper and it means so much to us that we can go away on a holiday knowing that he is happy and safe. Georgia is always so lovely to deal with and very accommodating. Hooper obviously feels very comfortable with Georgia and for that we are so grateful.

Just wanted to send a quick note to say thanks. Lilly (our 12 month old Lab) was recently looked after by Sharon Ericksen and we just wanted to extend our appreciation and thanks. As predicted Sharon, (and her gorgeous 16 yr old Lab Culdi) were fabulous with Lilly. This was Lilly's first time away from us and needless to say she was very spoilt and appeared to have had a wonderful time. I would like to take the opportunity to thank Andrea for looking after ‘Ben’ for me.
As she found out that not only Ben was an exRSPCA dog but a dog has ‘low self-esteem’!!!!! Ben must have had an abusive past but slowly has develop confidence and love through myself. Having said all that, I would like to express my confidence with having Andrea look after Ben. Although she looks after a few dogs at once, nevertheless, I was surprised to ring her from Phillip Island that Ben had been ‘sleeping’ with Andrea in comfort….. He must have really trusted her and felt at home with Andrea. Not only does Andrea knows how to make dogs comfortable, but she also gave me quite a lot of advise especially for a slightly timid dog like Ben. In all, I would like to thank Andrea for her time and care for Ben and would recommend anyone to her.

I just wanted to say a BIG BIG BIG thank you to you and Kirsten for coming to my rescue. As you know Kishma attempted to escape from Boarding Kennels which resulted in a severely injured foot that required 24hour supervision whilst it healed. As both Dan and I work full time we were in a jam. Angel Kirsten to the rescue. She is is amazing, I work long hours and travel frequently interstate, Dan does shift work. Kirsten fitted in around us, nothing was a drama or a problem and the ability to drop kish off in the morning and pick her up at night was fantastic. She even had the odd Sleep over. I felt like a real mum with a child in day care. On top of this Kirsten even washed her for me!! What can I say about Kirsten other than she is a rare gem. I deal in a fast paced hectic aggressive IT industry and I tell you what we could all take a leaf out of Kirstens book on exceptional customer service and flexibility. Her smiley face and “Can do” attitude made the whole experience so easy. Kishma got to know where she was going everyday and bounded into the car. I wish there was more people on this earth like Kirsten, she is a wonderful human being. Kishma most definatley will be back, My other dog Charlie is jealous off her outings we have had to give him treats as we felt guilty.
Thank you so much Wendy for taking us on board, you understood my situation and came to my rescue.. Again thanks for a fantastic service. We will be back! And after today…I think real soon.

Just a note to say thanks for putting me onto Lorna & Pat - they fell in love with Toby and clearly he settled well. Will use their services again in the future as I am sure return trips to Melbourne may mean that I need him looked after to allow me the freedom to catch up with friends etc where even the most lovable of dogs are not always welcome.

I wanted to drop a quick line and say how fantastic Georgia was - the dogs had a ball and were actually depressed at coming home (where their mum can't spend anywhere near as much time with them!). I look forward to using her again (and again) as our dog sitter. ;-) Many thanks

Just a quick note to let you know that your choice of minders for Beth and Annie was excellent.....both Nathaniel and Julie are true doglovers.....I think both dogs had a good a holiday as us.....even went on a trip to the beach with a swim in the ocean....I would have no problem recommending them to anyone

We thought you would like to know how pleased we were at the care Sirius enjoyed whilst we were away. Carolyn (in Balwyn) cared for Sirius as if she was their own dog, including small snacks of veal schnitzel. She clearly had a wonderful time. In fact she had played so hard with the Carolyn's dog, Hudson, that when she returned home, she had to mind a sofa for 24 hours to sleep off all the activity. Rather amusingly, this involved much REM sleep with generous bouts of tail-wagging - happy dreams! Many thanks for the superb service.

Just a short note to say thankyou for enabling us to have a lovely holiday knowing that Prince was well looked after by Sue, she was wonderful and he settled down with her very quickly and she grew to love him like we do.Please find attached some photos of Prince enjoying his holiday with Sue. Everything went really well with Chelcey and Rob. Akeetah returned home a lot healthier then when she left - having been walked every day. Even the neighbours commented on how good she looked. I was really pleased with the service and have been telling EVERYONE about it. Chelcey and Rob said they would take Akeetah back anytime - so we will definitely keep that in mind when we next need it. Thanks for organising it all for us - especially at such LATE notice. I have been taking Chelsea to Pat & Lorna's place in East Bentleigh for occassional day care since she was three months old. Sitting at home in the garden each day from early in the morning until the evening can sometimes be boring for a young active dog. Not to mention being outside on 35 degree plus days!
Chelsea is always excited when we arrive at Pat & Lorna's house as she knows she will spend the day being as well cared for as if she had been home with me. I have also found that Chelsea is more settled in the evenings after having spent the day in the company of other playful dogs. Going on occassional day care should also assist in a smooth transition with arrangements when I go on holidays."
